Confidence, joy and resistance – these are the values at the heart of Cologne Pride, year after year. The motto for Pride 2026 shines a spotlight on the political side of Pride: “For queer rights. Many. Together. Strong.” The accompanying list of demands calls for protection against discrimination, equal rights in all areas of life, stronger action against hate crime and much more. Rights that should be a given still have to be written on placards and shouted through megaphones – especially in times of growing conservative backlash.
From 3 to 5 July, hundreds of thousands of people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, will come together at the Christopher Street Day street festival and the Pride march on 5 July. But Cologne Pride is about much more than one weekend. The programme kicks off on 19 June, with events taking place across the city.

Pride Month in Cologne 2026: open-air celebrations and speed dating in June
20 June: Queer as Heaven church party
Church and queerness are often framed as opposites – but here, they go hand in hand. At Queer as Heaven, held in the courtyard of Kartäuserkirche, you’ll find beats instead of barriers. DJ Salis aka s.i-am provides the soundtrack, while drinks, dancing and plenty of good vibes keep the party going. And if it rains? The party simply moves inside the church.

27 June: Hot Flash – Over-30s Open Air
Not keen on sharing the dancefloor exclusively with people in their early twenties? Then you’ve come to the right place. Once a month, BOIze Bar invites everyone aged 30 and over to celebrate at its Hot Flash party. During Pride Month, the over-30s event moves outdoors to the SonnenscheinEtage rooftop beach bar, complete with views of Cologne Cathedral and across the city.

24 June: LES*quisit – Speed Dating & Speed Friending
Young and queer? Then anyway – Cologne’s community hotspot for LGBTQIA* people under 27 – is the place for you. Each weekday is dedicated to a different group, creating safe spaces for boys, girls, as well as trans, inter* and non-binary young people.
On Wednesdays, anyway opens its doors exclusively to lesbian, bisexual and queer women under 27 for its LES*quisit bar night. For Pride season, there’s a special edition: lesbian and queer Speed Dating & Speed Friending, giving you the chance to expand your CSD crew and meet like-minded people.

Interactive Pride events in Cologne: Song Contest & Open Stage
28 June: Rainbow Song Contest in the old town
For 2 weeks during Pride season, Elogiusplatz transforms into a holiday paradise for Cologne’s LGBTQIA* community as part of Cologne Pride Beach & Village. With a sandy beach, a pool and refreshing drinks, every evening from mid-June to early July feels like a mini getaway.
Alongside numerous parties and bar nights, there’s also a special competition: 8 singers take to the stage at the Rainbow Song Contest, and the audience helps decide who wins.
Fancy performing yourself? If you already have some stage experience, you can still apply for the contest until 15 June. Last year’s winner, Divamant, took first place with an impressive stage presence.

1 July: Another Open Stage – Drag Special in the town centre
At Another Open Stage, everyone is welcome, regardless of sexuality, identity or background. Usually, 8 acts take to the stage, each performing three songs. For Pride Month, the Open Stage returns as a dedicated Drag Special.
Expect 6 drag acts featuring dazzling performances, entertaining lip-syncs and laugh-out-loud comedy. Hosts Miss Mary Lou and Miss Roxy Rex will guide you through the evening. And if you’ve always dreamed of performing in full drag, this is your chance: applications for the Drag Special are still open, and you could soon become part of the line-up yourself.
And there’s another reason to love this event: it also supports a good cause. While admission is free, donations collected throughout the evening go directly to Queere Entfaltung e.V.

Warm-up for Christopher Street Day: Pride Events and XXL parties in early July
3 July: Pride Now CSD Opening Party in the town centre
If you want to get into the Pride spirit before CSD on 5 July, the official Pride Now opening party is the perfect place to start. 3 floors dedicated to pop and dance, 80s classics and house music invite you onto the dancefloor, while the courtyard offers a quieter spot to take a breather in between.
The line-up also includes live performances by Miriana Conte, who represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, a tribute show dedicated to British pop singer Jimmy Somerville, and a performance by drag queen Catherrine Leclery, who appeared as a guest on Germany’s Next Topmodel in 2025.

3 July: My Secret Garden at Stadtgarten – Belgian Quarter
My Secret Garden x The Shize are turning things up a notch for Pride 2026 in Cologne. Expect 2 dancefloors offering the full range of sounds: Jaki Club brings house and disco from Horse Meat Disco and Nikki Nice, while Stadtgarten delivers indie, 80s hits, electro-pop and trash courtesy of Rajko, Action!Mike and Gordon. Inside, outside – it’s party time everywhere, as the entire Stadtgarten transforms into a Pride playground. And if you were part of last year’s CSD Special, you might just spot a few familiar favourite acts.

3 July: Kisses and Lies FLINTA* Party at Bootshaus – Cologne Deutz
Think funfair meets all-night rave – that’s Kisses and Lies at Bootshaus, exclusively for FLINTA*. Across 3 dancefloors, the best beats keep the party going all night long. Bootshaus is known for its XXL parties, with artists such as Timmy Trumpet, Ski Aggu, DJ Snake, Lari Luke, Amy Wiles and Alle Farben having lit up the venue in the past. And this edition promises to be just as big, featuring 10 DJs, live acts and spectacular shows. At the January edition of Kisses and Lies, DJ Blues served up pop and chart hits, DJane Xandra brought Afrobeats, dancehall and reggaeton, while Babicin kept the crowd moving with techno and tech house – proof that the vibes here are anything but one-note.
Need a breather? Head outside to the dedicated outdoor area, where you’ll find a funfair complete with rides and food stalls. Grab a bite to eat, take a spin on one of the attractions, catch your breath – and then head straight back to the dancefloor.

3 July: Sissy that Rainbow Techno and Pop Party in Ehrenfeld
If dancing under the stars is your idea of the perfect Pride celebration, don’t miss Sissy that Rainbow at Odonien. This alternative arts and events venue in Ehrenfeld has long been one of Cologne’s coolest hotspots, thanks in no small part to its sprawling outdoor area filled with steel sculptures, fire installations and converted trailers. In summer, it feels made for open-air parties.
On 3 July, Odonien transforms into a queer party universe. One floor offers psy-techno, bounce and hard dance from Oskamaxx and Pardis, while another delivers queer pop sing-alongs courtesy of Lana Delicious and DJCK. The music is as diverse as the crowd. Whether you’re drag, butch, femme, non-binary, trans*, gay or simply an ally, everyone who believes there’s no place for hate is welcome here.

Cologne Pride 2026 turns up the volume: from orchestral pop to all-night partying
4 July: The Sound of Pride at Cologne Philharmonic Hall – old town
With hits such as “Born This Way”, “Poker Face” and “Abracadabra”, Lady Gaga has become a true icon within the queer community. Now, her music is coming to Kölner Philharmonie (Cologne Philharmonic Hall) – not performed by the superstar herself, but by the WDR Funkhausorchester under the baton of David Brophy. The programme for The Sound of Pride also features songs by other legendary artists and allies, including Elton John, Freddie Mercury and Taylor Swift.

4 July: Dyke* March through the city centre
The Dyke* March returns to Cologne for the 12th time – loud, determined and full of energy. The demonstration is an important call for greater visibility for women, lesbian, trans*, inter* and non-binary people – in other words, the FLINTA* community – both within queer spaces and society as a whole.
With creative placards and powerful messages, participants transform Cologne’s city centre into a political stage. The route begins at Roncalliplatz, passes Cologne central station, continues through Trankgasse and along Komödienstrasse, before following the line of the ancient Roman city wall towards Albertusstrasse. From there, the march heads past Neumarkt and back to the starting point.

5 July: Hollywood Tramp’s Cologne Pride Closing Party in Ehrenfeld
After Pride comes… more Pride. To round off the Cologne Pride weekend in style, Hollywood Tramp invites partygoers to the official Pride Closing Party at Club Bahnhof Ehrenfeld. This year’s edition is all about Brat-coded vibes, girly pop and queer club culture. On the Main Stage, it’s pop all night long, with DJ Hollywood Tramp and Ivo Bischoff behind the decks.
Over on the Club Classics Floor, nostalgia takes centre stage as U-GO-BOY brings 80s, 90s and 2000s hits to the dancefloor, before Bambi Mercury takes over later in the evening. There’ll also be an outdoor lounge, drag performances and show moments, all wrapped up in Hollywood Tramp’s signature mix of pop, queer euphoria and Pride-finale energy.
